Meet the key players:
Ross is a marketing professional with over 20 years’ experience encompassing retail, licensing, sponsorship, events and public relations. Ross moved to Asia in 2012 before acquiring businesses in Hong Kong and Singapore in 2015, launching Roco Communications in 2016. A passionate marketeer, he has overseen sponsorship, PR and experiential campaigns for some of Asia’s most prominent sports, entertainment and lifestyle brands. Away from the office, Ross is likely to be found enjoying the great outdoors, spending time with his children or trying in vain to improve his golf handicap.
Georgie joined Roco Singapore in June having spent 20 years running a successful Melbourne-based communications company that represented a host of Australia’s leading brands. Her mission is to deliver a unique creative experience to ignite a client’s brand and inspire their consumer, adding value to existing marketing activities by achieving effective results through sound strategy, creativity, a driven team and focused communication. Georgie’s passion for events has helped to promote some of the world’s finest including The Presidents Cup, World Cup of Golf, Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship, Asian Netball Championship, Australian F1 Grand Prix and the Australian Open to name a few. With over 25 years in the PR and Events industry, she will be the first to tell you what works and what doesn’t. She filters new ideas until there’s gold in the pan!
Chloe has developed a strong understanding of marketing communications in the sports industry from a number of roles in London, Singapore and Hong Kong over the last decade. She has had hands-on experience with brands such as Rolex, Panasonic, Hilton, Cathay Pacific and UBS, bringing a wealth of experience in client management, event activation and sponsorship programmes. A sports fanatic, Chloe was riding horses before she could walk and nowadays, when she’s not had her fix of sports at work during the day, can usually be found running around a netball court or watching a game of rugby.
Deborah joined Roco Communications at the start of 2017, and has over four years’ PR experience working on key sports and lifestyle accounts such as the OUE Singapore Open, Nespresso and New Balance. As a national netball player and ardent sports fan, Deborah understands the intricacies of various sports, and has gone on to build strong relationships with sporting media across the region. Describing herself as a passionate and determined individual, you know Deborah will definitely get the job done!
The most recent addition to the Roco team, Fitriah joined us from the entertainment sector, bringing experience in communications and specialising in social media and content marketing. Putting her communications degree to good use, she is diving head first into the world of PR with Roco. Away from the office, Fitriah keeps active by playing hockey. If she’s not on the field, she’s probably at home watching Netflix in bed or hanging out at a museum.
A PR veteran with 15 years’ experience, Amy has established herself as a leading media consultant and strategist in Hong Kong with an enviable network of media and influencer relations across the sports, lifestyle and entertainment sectors. Her substantial PR experience in managing both Hong Kong and regional events has delivered worldwide coverage and impressive media ROI for numerous clients and sponsors. Amy’s passion for sports is exceeded only by her love of Hong Kong cuisine and dedication to her family.
